How to get to Braemar
From the Airport
The city is about 20kms from the Auckland International Airport. How you get here depends on the time you arrive and how much luggage you bring with you.
- The Airbus – an airport bus leaves from outside the arrival terminal regularly for the city. Check the current pricing, timetable and route here http://www.airbus.co.nz/home/ This is a good alternative if you don’t have many bags and you arrive during the hours the airbus runs.
- Supershuttle – this is a mini-bus that will bring you to the door. It costs around NZ$36 for two people. The shuttles are parked to the side of the arrival terminal and they are usually available.
- Taxi – this is the fastest way of getting here but costs around NZ$70. There are plenty of taxis in ranks outside the airport terminal, the door-to-door service is generally very good and there is no time restriction on their availability. If you arrive late at night and are unfamiliar with the city, try to avoid hiring a car and driving when you are tired. When you get to the airport, call us on 0800 155463 at any phonebox if you need more directions.
Arrival and Departure Times
We prefer arrival times from 3pm, and departure time at 11:00am. Arrivals and departures outside of these times can be agreed but you need to discuss this with us when you book. Reservations are essential and must be guaranteed with credit card details.
Reservation and Cancellation Policy
Once your reservation is confirmed, we require at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel. If cancelled inside 48 hours of arrival the cost of one night will be made to your credit card.
We have two toy poodles and a small black cat that live with us. If any of these animals poses a problem for you, or you are travelling with a pet, please let us know so that we can accommodate your needs.
Braemar is a non-smoking environment.
